Pastors Gary and Tracy Kirschbaum have been in ministry since April of 1992, at which time they opened a "Ministry of Prayer" in Las Vegas, NV. This continued until September 1994 when they then pioneered Thy Word Ministries and Church International.

In early June 2006 they relocated their church and ministry to downtown Las Vegas just north of the "the naked city". They not only relocated, but changed the name of the church to The Dwelling Place International.

In June of 2007 after much work and renovation to the building the doors were open to the public. The church is now packed every Sunday with many homeless and poor individuals. The heart of the ministry is to the poor, homeless and all in need.

Each Sunday after the morning service, hundreds of bags of food are given out to all who are in need. This food is supplied to the church from Three Square Food Bank and other area organizations. Along with our Food Pantry we have a Clothing and Supply Room where we give away clothes, shoes, bedding and personal hygiene items.

As is stated on the Home page of this site, anyone can access what the church has to give away and they do not have to attend a service or any church functions. The doors are opened to all.

The vision of The Dwelling Place International is to bring restoration and wholeness to every walk of life here in Las Vegas, NV and the world, one life at a time. Our vision is to build a "City of Refuge".
